It's not long now until our new Autumn term begins, on Monday 9th September and we are thrilled to share some fantastic news and updates with you from The Nest. As always, we are committed to providing a nurturing environment where our young people can thrive, and we've got some great developments to tell you about.
Kitchen Container
We are excited to announce that our brand-new kitchen container is here and will be fully kitted out and operational for the beginning of term! This space has been designed with our young people in mind, providing them with the opportunity to learn vital cooking skills. Whether it’s mastering the basics or experimenting with new recipes, this kitchen is set to become a hub of creativity and learning.
But it’s not just about cooking – it’s about community too. The kitchen will be a space where everyone can come together to enjoy freshly prepared meals, fostering a sense of togetherness and shared experience.
To ensure the highest standards of safety and hygiene in our new kitchen, our dedicated staff and volunteers have been busy completing or refreshing their knowledge in Level 2 Food Hygiene. This commitment to maintaining excellent standards ensures that our kitchen is not only a place for learning but also a safe and welcoming environment for all.
Shout out to Anglo Scottish for their incredible ongoing support. Helping to supply our new kitchen container.
AQA UAS
We are incredibly proud to announce that two of our young people have received their very first AQA certificates in Equine Care! This is a significant achievement, and we couldn't be more thrilled to celebrate their hard work. These certificates represent the start of our journey with the AQA Unit Award Scheme, and we’re excited to see more of our young people gain recognition for the hard work and skills they develop here at The Nest.
